Eligibility Criteria for KAIST University Scholarship:

To be eligible for the KAIST University Scholarship, candidates must satisfy the following requirements:

  1. Language Proficiency: Applicants must meet one of the minimum score requirements in an English proficiency test:
    • TOEFL iBT: 83 (PBT 560, CBT 220) [KAIST’s institution code for TOEFL is 0195]
    • IELTS: 6.5 band (Academic mode)
    • TOEIC: 720 (Listening & Reading)
    • TEPS: 599 / New TEPS: 326
  2. Eligible Countries: Available to candidates from every corner of the globe. However, individuals holding Korean Citizenship (dual citizenship) are NOT eligible to apply as international students.
  3. Master’s Scholarship: For those applying for a master’s scholarship, applicants must currently hold or expect to obtain a bachelor’s degree before enrollment at KAIST.
  4. Doctoral Scholarship: For those applying for a doctoral scholarship, applicants must currently hold or expect to obtain both a bachelor’s and master’s degree before enrollment at KAIST.
