KAIST Summer KAI-X Research Internship 2024

KAIST Summer KAI-X Research Internship will take place from June 24 to August 16, 2024, the eight-week program offers students an exclusive chance to participate in advanced research. Students belonging to Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Brain & Cognitive Science, and Medical Science are encouraged to apply. This internship will be held at the KAIST campus in South Korea.

  • Dormitory Costs:
    • The support also covers dormitory accommodation costs for participants during the program duration.
    • However, the total cost for dormitory expenses should not exceed 500,000 KRW.
    • The provision of dormitory accommodation ensures that participants have convenient and affordable housing options during their stay at KAIST, Korea.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Undergraduate students in their 3rd and 4th semesters are encouraged to apply.
  • Masters students are also eligible to apply.
  • Students whose fields are related to the above-mentioned fields can apply.
  • International students can apply.
  • Students studying in doctoral degree programs are not eligible to apply.

How to Apply for KAIST Summer KAI-X Research Internship?

Selection Process:

  • If selected, applicants will be assigned to one laboratory based on their indicated preferences.
  • Selected candidates will participate in research activities throughout the internship period.
  • Individual notifications regarding the selection outcome will be sent within four weeks after the application deadline.

Applicants must submit the following documents:

  • Application Form: Submit in Excel format.
  • Essay (Activity Plan): Write an essay of up to 1,200 words, detailing your motivation for applying, your preferred labs, and your plans within those labs.
  • Transcript: Only official English documentation, issued within the last 3 months by your institute, will be accepted. Official stamps or signatures from the relevant authority are required.
