GW Institute for Korean Studies Research Fellowship in Korea

The GW Initiative One of the Best fellowships in Korea for Korean research studies offers students a compensated research fellowship and up to 18 credits of education compensation. Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellowships Program

The Sigur Center and the Centre for Korean Research named National Resource Centers (NRC) for Asian Studies, a prestigious recognition. With this recognition, the institutions will be better able to interact with the general public, lawmakers, veterans, media, K–12 educators, HBCUs, and students about crucial local and international concerns.

Additionally, approximately 90 Foreign Language and Field Research (FLAS) Fellowships have been granted by the Sigur Center, GWIKS, and IMES to undergraduate student and postgraduate students who study modern different languages and associated areas of global research. 24 GW students will get fellowships as a result of the prizes in the first year.

M.A. Fellowship for Korean Studies

Every year, the GW Institute for Korean Studies offers two M.A Fellowship to excellent students for the Academy of Korean Studies (AKS) in South Korea. The successful candidates of the M.A. Fellowship will receive a full tuition fee of up to 18 credits for one calendar year.

In addition, the Korea Development Institute (KDI) will also offer M.A. Fellowship to up to five students for a year. KDI Korean Fellowship will also receive an additional tuition fee ranging from $5,000 – $10,000 per academic year. Foreign Language & Area Studies (FLAS) Academic Year Fellowship

The Sigur Center for Asian Studies at George Washington College supports graduates from college (Doctoral and Master’s aspirants) and specialist academics (JD and MD) in their modern language and area research through funding from the U.S. Department of Education International Language and Field Research (FLAS) Fellowship Program. Graduate students, recent college graduates, and emerging professionals can obtain scholarships from the Blakemore Foundation and the Freeman Foundation to help pay for an educational year of professional language study in East and Southeast Asia. In addition to paying for all of the associated university fees, accommodation costs, and cost of transportation, the fellowship also offers compensation. Boren Awards fellowships in Korea
