The KDI School Scholarship in South Korea for 2023 is an outstanding opportunity for students who aspire to study in Korea without incurring any financial burden. About KDI School Scholarship
The KDI School of Public Policy and Management was founded in 1997 to train and cultivate the next generation of leaders in a rapidly changing and globalizing economy. The School provides an innovative educational program focused on policy and international issues, with the aim of transforming mid-career professionals into leaders in their respective fields. Through this fully funded scholarship program, students acquire new knowledge, vision, and a global perspective.

KDI School has received official accreditation from NASPAA for all its Master’ programs, including Public Policy (MPP), Development Policy (MDP), Public Management (MPM), and Intellectual Property and Development Policy (MIPD). It is the first and only NASPAA-accredited institution in Korea and the second outside of the United States.
Programs offered ar KDI
The Master’s degree programs at KDI School are offered in full-time and part-time tracks. Full-time students can complete their coursework within the first year and typically spend the second year working on their research projects. The minimum time required for coursework completion is one year. Part-time programs are designed to accommodate students’ busy schedules through a flexible combination of evening and weekend classes, allowing them to graduate within two years without interrupting their careers. KDI School also offers Ph.D. programs in Public Policy (PP) and Development Policy (DP), which are available only in full-time tracks and require a minimum of three years to complete.

KDI School Scholarship:
Global Ambassador Scholarship (GAS):
This scholarship covers full tuition, and living expenses, and the GAS Scholarship program is offered to Masters and Ph.D. Degree students. The GAS KDI School Scholarship is awarded to a limited number of students who have outstanding academic records, leadership potential, and a commitment to serving their home country.
KDIS-KGSP Scholarship:
This scholarship is a joint program between KDI School and the Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP). The scholarship covers full tuition, living expenses, airfare, and Korean language training. It is awarded to outstanding students who have a strong interest in Korean development issues.
Seoul G20 Global Leaders Fellowship:
Seoul G20 Global Leaders Fellowship is offered to Master’s Degree students. Students must belong to G20 Countries. Seoul G20 Global Leaders Fellowship offers a Full tuition waiver, monthly stipend, and round-trip airfare.
Eligibility Criteria for KDI Scholarship 2023-2024:
- Individuals who are foreign nationals and whose parents hold foreign nationalities, or those who have completed their education up to the university level (minimum of 16 years) in a foreign country, are eligible to apply for the KDI scholarship.
- For those applying for a master’s degree program, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent (minimum of 3 years) that is recognized by the law is required.
- Those applying for a Ph.D. program must have obtained both a bachelor’s (minimum of 3 years) and a master’s degree or equivalent to both, to be considered for the scholarship.
- Applicants must meet the English proficiency requirements.
- Have an outstanding academic record and a passion for public policy and management.
