Sogang University Scholarships for international freshmen/transfers
#1 Admission Scholarship I
Students who have achieved exceptional admission scores, placing them in the top 5%, are eligible for the following benefits:
- A full scholarship covering admission fees and full tuition fees for a period of 8 semesters.
- For 2nd year transfers, the scholarship covers 6 semesters, and for 3rd-year transfers, it covers 4 semesters.

Sogang University Scholarships For Graduate Students
For Humanities and Social Science
#1 Sogang Global Fellowship (S)
To be eligible for admission, prospective students must meet one of the following language proficiency requirements:
- Achieve a level 6 or above in the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK).
- Score over 550 in the TOEFL PBT (210 CBT, 80 IBT).
- Score over 550 in TEPS.
- Score 5.5 or above in IELTS.
In addition to meeting the language proficiency requirement, the chair of the department or a head professor may recommend new students who are regarded as excellent. The final decision on admission is made by the dean of the Graduate School, taking into consideration the budget. This fellowship covers 80% of tuition.
#2 Sogang Global Fellowship (A)
Students who achieve a grade of level 5 or above in the Korean Proficiency Test, or score over 550 in the TOEFL PBT (210 CBT, 80 IBT), or over 550 in TEPS, or score 5.5 or above in IELTS are eligible for a 40% tuition scholarship.
#3 Sogang Global Fellowship (B)
Students who achieve a grade of level 4 in the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) are eligible for a 20% tuition scholarship.
For Natural Science, Engineering and Integrated Knowledge
#1 Sogang Global Fellowship (S)
To be eligible for an 80% tuition scholarship, prospective students must meet the language proficiency requirement of achieving a level 5 or above in the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK), or scoring over 550 in the TOEFL PBT (210 CBT, 80 IBT), or over 550 in TEPS, or scoring 5.5 or above in IELTS. Additionally, new students who are regarded as excellent may be recommended by the chair of the department or a head professor. The final decision on admission and scholarship is made by the dean of the Graduate School, taking into consideration the budget. It is necessary to satisfy both the language proficiency requirement and the recommendation in order to be eligible for the 80% tuition scholarship.
#2 Sogang Global Fellowship (A)
Students who achieve a grade of level 4 or above in the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK), or score over 550 in the TOEFL PBT (210 CBT, 80 IBT), or score over 550 in TEPS, or score 5.5 or above in IELTS are eligible for a 40% tuition scholarship.
#3 Sogang Global Fellowship (B)
Students who are not eligible for Sogang Global Scholarship (S) or (A) but are recommended by the dean of their department and approved by the dean of the Graduate School are eligible for a 20% tuition scholarship for one year.
Sogang University Scholarships for Graduate School of International Studies
Graduate School of International Studies offers different scholarships which cover 100, 75, 50, 25% of tuition fees. Also offers the Korean Government Scholarship Program which covers tuition fee and provide with stipend.
Sogang University Scholarships for Sogang International MBA (SIMBA)
#1 Asia Outstanding Student Scholarship
The Asia Outstanding Student Scholarship provides a 30% tuition deduction to candidates who meet either of the following criteria:
- Candidates recommended by major Asian universities.
- Candidates who achieve an undergraduate grade of B+ or a percentage score up to 90%.
#2 Global Outstanding Student Scholarship
20% tuition deduction for candidates who demonstrate proficiency in both English (IBT TOEFL 100, PBT TOEFL 600, CBT TOEFL 250, TEPS 800, or IELTS 7.5) and Korean (level 4 or above in S-TOPIK) through recognized proficiency tests.
