In Seoul, South Korea, Seoul National University (SNU) is a nationwide government research institute. The most renowned institution in South Korea is Seoul National University, which was established in 1946. Three campuses constitute the university: the central campus in Gwanak District, as well as the other two branches, are in Pyeongchang County and Daehangno. The institution has 9 professional school systems, one graduate school, and 16 colleges. There are around 17,000 undergraduates and 11,000 graduate pupils in the school population. In addition to the WB (World Bank) and the Pennsylvania institution, Seoul National University has letters of agreement with more than 700 academic universities in 40 distinct countries. Furthermore, the institution is a member of the McDonnell Global Academic Institute at Washington University in Saint Louis. The Graduate Institute of Business provides MBA-, MS-, and Ph.D.- pupils exchange programs with institutions in 10 countries across four continents, as well as joint master’s degrees with Duke Institute, ESSEC Business Institute, Hitotsubashi School, and the Yale University of Management.

#1 Seoul National University President Fellowships (SPF)

  • Full tuition exemption is available for a maximum of six semesters.
  • Living costs: 1,550,000 to 2,000,000 KRW monthly for three to four years.

  • linguistic skills in Korean (only evening class during regular semesters)
  • Refund of National Health Care Fees

#2 Graduate Scholarship for Excellent Foreign Students (GSFS)

Every semester, a new list of qualified counties and participating educational institutions and academic institutions is published; as a result, candidates must verify the list of academic institutions and universities that will be taking part in the GSFS Program for the current semester.  There are the following benefits of GSFS:

  • Tuition fee: full tuition exemption for a maximum of 4 semesters
  • Living expenses: minimal 500,000 KRW monthly (it can variate according to the subject)

What is the Eligibility for GSFS?

  • Non-Korean candidates who submitted to SNU and were admitted who are presently studying in or have graduated from qualified countries*
  • Those who enrolled in the specified university or college* taking part in the GSFS Program

#3 Silk-Road Scholarship | Seoul National University

  • The complete university fee waiver is offered for a max of four semesters.
  • Max monthly housing expenses: 600,000 KRW for four semesters.
  • Max round-trip plane tickets for the economy class are 1 million KRW.
  • Tuition waiver for Korean language instruction at the Language Institute

#4 Overseas Korean Scholarship

  • 100% tuition coverage for a maximum of four semesters 
  • costs of living: 900,000 Won each month for four semesters (maximum)
  • a return flight in an economy class
  • Fee waiver for six months at the Language Academic Institution for Korean language learning
  • subscription to health insurance

#5 Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP/GKS)

  • Full tuition fee: tuition exemption for Masters and Ph.D. degrees under the Seoul National University Scholarship program.
  •  4 semesters for the Master’s program
  •  6 semesters for Ph. D program
  • Housing expenses: 1,000,000 KRW per month
  • Airfare: one economy return flight ticket
  • Korean language training fee: for one year
  • Korean language learning is mandatory to get the parks
  • Others: medical insurance is also provided by SNU,

  • Thesis printing fees are also provided by SNU,
