General admission criteria
Academic and degree requirements
- The undergraduate guide requires a recognized secondary qualification for freshman entry. Transfer applicants need the specified university semesters and credits or a qualifying college credential.
- Graduate applicants qualify through the published foreign-nationality route or the full-overseas-education route.
- Master’s and combined applicants need a bachelor’s degree. Doctoral applicants need a master’s degree. A department can assign extra prerequisites for a change of field.
Language requirements
- Undergraduate common routes include TOPIK level 3, IELTS 5.5 or other published alternatives. Some Korean language alternatives carry a training requirement after enrollment.
- The graduate guide lists TOPIK level 4 for Education and level 6 for Korean Language and Literature. Other requirements depend on the department.
