Korea International School Jeju school guide cover with an illustrative stock photograph of students

Korea International School Jeju (KIS Jeju) is a coeducational day and boarding school in Jeju's Global Education City, with Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 and boarding from Grade 8. It has its own admissions, fee schedule and campus; families should not substitute the Seoul or Pangyo school rules. This profile separates the current 2027-2028 entry information from the published 2026-2027 cost reference.

The high-school curriculum page describes AERO standards and project-based/critical-thinking learning. The AP subpage retains a 2024-2025 offerings heading, while the general high-school page gives a standing list. These lists show published academic options, not a verified timetable guaranteeing every class for 2027-2028.

Admissions and placement

Entry eligibility and assessment

  • Use the 2027-2028 age/grade chart and the school's previous-schooling rules. Grade 11 applications are limited to students attending overseas/international schools; for applicants from Korean domestic schools, Grade 10 first semester is the last stated high-school entry point.
  • The published assessment table lists play observation/interview for JK-Grade 2; MAP mathematics/reading, writing and group interview for Grades 3-8; and MAP mathematics, writing, group interview and ITP TOEFL for Grade 9 and above. Components may change after the deadline.
  • Applicants residing overseas can use the separate online admissions process, including Korean/dual nationals and foreign nationals living outside Korea. The on-site process page should not be read as requiring every overseas applicant to travel for assessment.
  • Passing assessment does not permit an arbitrary start date. The FAQ requires a designated entry date and an available place. Confirm vacancies, grade placement, learning needs and English support directly with admissions.

Admissions dates and current-year scope

  • Checked 1 November 2026. The process page's URL and browser title retain 2026-2027 wording, while its current age, document and assessment sections explicitly refer to 2027-2028. The fee page remains 2026-2027. A fixed next application cutoff and start date were not established from these pages, so this directory does not invent a deadline or label every grade open. Obtain the appropriate regular/rolling round and designated entry date from admissions.
  • The FAQ says rolling decisions usually take about three weeks and regular decisions up to four, sent to the application email.
  • The process page instead says text message within three to four weeks.
  • Keep both contact channels current and confirm the notification method; these are estimated decision periods, not guaranteed offer dates.
